The most anticipated games of 2013
It's been sometime now but for all those who read my blog, be prepared for a review on this years highly famed games. For you game lovers, most of you already know which games your eagerly anticipating, so my job will just be a brief summary on them. Now, i'll tell you a little history about my gaming history so far before I start. I started playing games when i was about 7 or 8 yrs old, and was highly addicted to them. Back then all we had was the PS1 which was a big deal then if you remember, the culmination of technological advancement they said anyway. I can't remember the exact game i started playing with, but i do remember the games i became fond of as a child. Lion King, Spiderman, NFL and FIFA but i'm sure there others. Ever since that point in time gaming became one of my hobbies though these days it's more costly :p
Anyway, don't want to bore you. Let's get straight to it, and first up is:
#1:- Devil May Cry (Xbox 360/PlayStation 3/PC, 18 January)
British developer Ninja Theory may have come in for some stick for its 'emo' reworking of DmC hero Dante, but their track record with story-based action-adventures are exemplary. Early previews suggest this reboot is shaping up to be something special, with terrific combat and a bewitching aesthetic.
#2:- Watch Dogs (Xbox 360/PlayStation 3/PC, TBC)
E3 2012's surprise package is due for release this year, a technological open-world thriller following hacker Aiden Pierce in a Chicago run by an artificial intelligence. The demo at E3 suggested a video game that outstrips the technological limits of the current crop of home consoles. Could well be a launch title for new hardware. Either way, Watch Dogs is one to keep an eye on.
#3:- Dead Space 3 (Xbox 360/PlayStation 3, 8 February)
The third entry in the most successful new survival-horror series in over a decade, Dead Space 3 will feature co-op and seems to be following a more action-orientated route. Will the sci-fi scares be diluted?
#4:- Crysis 3 (Xbox 360/PlayStation 3/PC, 22 February)
How do you marry the jungle warfare of Crysis with the urban setting of Crysis 2? Easy: encase New York in a nanodome which turns the city into a lush, verdant forest. Taking the best bits from two of the most emergent shooters ever made sounds good to us.
#5:- Tomb Raider (Xbox360/PlayStation 3/PC, 8 March)
Rebooting the legendary Lara Croft is no easy task, and a worrisome focus on bombastic action and controversy over the games themes hasn't made it any simpler. However, Crystal Dynamics have a fantastic record with video games most recognisable heroine, so her origin story on a mysterious jungle island should be nothing if not fascinating. Rhianna Pratchett on writing duties also intrigues.
#6:- God of War: Ascension (PlayStation 3, 15 March)
Ascension has been most notable for the introduction of online multiplayer. Multiplayer! In God of War! Has the world gone mad? We shall see, but Sony Santa Monica has a 100% hit rate with the series, so we expect familiar excellence. The single-player campaign serves as a prequel to the entire franchise as Kratos kickstarts his celestial feud with Ares.
#7:- Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox 360/PlayStation 3, TBC March)
Grand Theft Auto is rarely short on ambition, but the first game in the series for five years is aiming higher than ever. The biggest open-world game in Rockstar's history, a full eco-system, improved driving, better combat and multi-layered missions as the three protagonists team up on heists are the marquee technical goals. As ever, though, it will be the setting --this time Los Santos-- and the characters that are most likely to thrill.
#8:- The Last of Us (PlayStation 3, 7 May)
Naughty Dog take a break from the matinee bombast of Nathan Drake and Uncharted to deliver a bleak post-apocalyptic tale. Burly survivor Joel and young girl Ellie are an unlikely duo trekking across America, evading the Infected and the remnants of humanity. Expect Naughty Dog's usual skill with characters, setting and cinematic action.
#9:- Beyond: Two Souls (PlayStation 3, TBC)
Heavy Rain creators Quantic Dream's next project casts Hollywood starlet Ellen Page in the leading role. A psychological and supernatural thriller, Beyond follows the life of Jodie Holmes, a young woman seemingly accompanied by a wandering spirit called Iden. Technically spectacular and thematically fascinating, you're not likely to play another game quite like it.
#10:- Splinter Cell Blacklist (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, TBC)
Sam Fisher returns, seemingly younger and certainly more violent. Blacklist follows the newly formed Fourth Echelon as they track down terrorists threatening US cities. A bombastic E3 2012 showing featuring torture and hyper-violence does leave concern that Splinter Cell has left its incision stealth behind, but this is a great series always worth keeping on your radar. No Michael Ironside lending his voice to Sam is a crushing disappointment though.
So we have quite the year of games coming through for us and hopefully you'lll get the time and money to enjoy these delights brought to us by the likes of Square Einx, Microsoft, Eidos, Ninja Theory, Quantic Dream and Rockstar.

Naruto Manga Chapter 618: The One who knows Everything
HOOOOLLLYY SHIT!!! Naruto 618. At this point if you've ever given your respect to Kishimoto, i suggest you take that back and respect him again.....WOOWWW!!
So this is simply the Chapter that i've been anticipating, you've been anticipating, the entire Naruto Universe has been waiting for. Now, alot of debate had gone into whether the Kages could be revived seeing as the all were sealed away within the Shinigami of the Shiki Fuujin. Now, only a few people can honestly justify that they saw that coming, cause i did not in anyway see that you could attempt to do that.......but seriously the EPICNESS in this chapter is unreal.
So there a few things in the chapter that particularly interested and puzzled me, for starters being the mask. Now if memory serves correctly i do recall the 3rd Hokage saying that only a few shinobi could perform that jutsu, seeing as the 4th who was exceptionally talent could perform it as well, so i ask why is it that the uchiha possess these masks? I also noticed the Kishimoto perceives to us of Orochimaru's knowledge on the scroll, hence creating the assumption that it may have been his plan all along.
This also makes much more sense as to why he needed Sasuke's body so badly, as obtaining it would grant him access to the uchiha shrine thus the mask. What orochimaru's motive at this point is unclear, seeing as he had a number of objectives when he was previously alive.
Now i won't lie, i didn't expect that the 4 Kages would be revived, i was more along the lines of seeing the Rikuudo Senin which btw would have totally BLOWN MY FUCKING MIND!! but i guess that was a bit too over-exaggerated. Anyaway, what knowledge does Sasuke intend to gain from these 4 to make his decision on whether to destroy Konoha? Will this development drastically change the tide of the war? Will edo madara and edo hashirama battle? What will be naruto's reaction to seeing minato? Who are the two remaining souls?
So many questions have been asked, and will only have to wait 7 more days to go :P. But overall remarks for this chapter get a 10 out of 10. Lovely change of pace, by Kishimoto.

What movies are we looking forward to in 2013?
Now that 2012 has drawn to a close, it's time to look forward to all of the glorious things that 2013 will bring. Fortunately for movie lovers everywhere, the year looks to be filled with some incredible films that will keep us entertained all year long!
#1: Star Trek into Darkness
One such exciting movie is 'Star Trek into Darkness,' the sequel to J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek' that is slated to release on May 17, 2013. Not only is Abrams returning to direct the second installment, but screenwriters and producer Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindelof are back at the helm, too. You can be sure that this team won't disappoint!
#2: Iron Man 3
After 'The Avengers' wowed audiences in 2012, what could possibly be more exciting than another Marvel movie? If you're a fan of the previous 'Iron Man' films, you're bound to find plenty to obsess about in 'Iron Man 3'! In the new film, which hits theaters in the United States on May 3, 2013, Robert Downey, Jr. returns as the title character and battles the Mandarin, played by Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley.
Will it live up to the greatness of 'The Avengers'? It's a tough act to follow, but if anyone can do it, it's probably Iron Man! We'll just have to wait and see.
#4: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Now that both 'Harry Potter' and 'Twilight' have wrapped up their movie franchises, 'The Hunger Games' books have the young adult adventure movie world all to themselves. The adaptation of the second novel, 'Catching Fire,' releases on November 22, 2013 and stars much of the original cast: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, and Elizabeth Banks.
#5: Identity Thief
Now that comedy actress Melissa McCarthy has been nominated for an Academy Award, we're bound to see her pop up in the movies time and again. If you've been waiting impatiently to see her next big starring role, get ready to cheer! Her movie 'Identity Thief' comes out on February 8, 2013.
In the film, she plays said identity thief, who steals the identity of a man named Sandy Bigelow Patterson (Jason Bateman). Only Melissa McCarthy could make crime so humorous!
#6: The Great Gatsby
Do you love 'Moulin Rouge'? How about 'Romeo + Juliet'? Are you a huge fan of F. Scott Fitzgerald? If any of the above are true for you, you're probably already waiting in eager anticipation of the new film adaptation of 'The Great Gatsby'!
The film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan, and Tobey Maguire and releases on May 10, 2013, has a major connection to both of the movies listed above; screenwriter, producer, and director Baz Luhrmann wrote, produced, and directed those films, too. Are you jazzed yet? You should be!
#7: Oblivion
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, Joseph Kosinski (TRON: Legacy) brings his visual eye and sci-fi chops to direct Tom Cruise in the sci-fi thriller Oblivion. The world has seemingly been emptied of humanity and while repairing drones, Jack Harper (Cruise) discovers a crashed spaceship with a human survivor that begins to unravel the mystery. We enjoyed Jack Reacher and look forward to meeting Jack Harper.
#8: Pain & Gain
Before returning to the Transformers franchise once again, director Michael Bay is finally taking a break from large scale firefights and explosions to craft this "small" passion project based on a true story about bodybuilders who botch their kidnapping and extortion plans. The lovable trio of The Rock, Marky Mark and Anthony Mackie have us excited for the action and comedy in Pain & Gain.
Jai Courtney was a scene-stealer in Jack Reacher and proved that he could play the son of Bruce Willis' John McClane in the fifth Die Hard. In A Good Day to Die Hard, the pair get caught up with the CIA's plans to seize nuclear weapons. No big deal for the McClane family.
After Tokyo Drift, Justin Lin managed to turn Fast & the Furious into one of the most successful film franchises. An even bigger cast surrounds Dominic Toretto (Diesel) & Brian O'Conner's (Walker) growing crew for the sixth installment which sees the mysterious return of Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and the introduction of a new villain played by Luke Evans. Diesel vs. The Rock rematch?
The return of the Superman franchise takes the form of a new origin story in Man of Steel, representing the potential first step in a larger, interconnected universe by DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. With proven action director and comic book enthusiast Zack Snyder at the helm, we can't wait to see a more badass Clark Kent on the big screen again. We hope it'll help us forget Green Lantern.
After X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Fox and producer Lauren Shuler Donner took steps to ensure their future X-films don't suffer the same issues and we saw the beginning of a turnaround with X-Men: First Class. With Hugh Jackman in the best shape of his life and given the chance to tell his favorite Logan story from Marvel Comics, James Mangold's The Wolverine - based on a script by Christopher McQuarrie - may just be the Wolverine movie we've been waiting over a decade for.
Now i'm sure i haven't covered the full list but you can post about other anticipated movies coming this 2013 that i missed out.
